STUDENTS REQUIRING ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE

The College Learning Support Team develops programs for each student who requires more assistance in the classroom. The Learning Support Team consists of a Junior School specialist, Mrs Lawler and a Senior School specialist, Mrs Skene. These teachers manage a team of College Assistants who work individually with students as well as supporting students within the classroom. They also train volunteers who assist them with the programs that they develop. The Learning Support team supports students in both Literacy and Numeracy. They also liaise with the College Counsellors, as well as outside agencies, to assist in the diagnosis of a student with a learning disability and to gain ideas for planning the most effective program for each student.
