During recess and lunchtime, the playground is supervised by a team of teachers. Students are told the areas in which vigorous play is permitted and where passive uses are available. Students are also told which areas are out of bounds. Should an incident or an accident occur in the playground, it should be reported immediately to the teacher on duty in the area so that appropriate action can be taken. Teachers are instructed on the importance of active and preventative supervision.
