We expect all students to be honest and submit only work that is their own. It is an offence to plagiarise, or steal someone else’s work and submit it as if it were your own. Students will be instructed on the dangers and consequences of plagiarising other people’s work. At the HSC level, plagiarism can jeopardise a student’s HSC results. Similarly, it is dishonest to engage in cheating. Plagiarism and cheating are called malpractice. Malpractice will be punished at the College level and can attract penalties by the NSW Education Standards Authority if it occurs in Higher School Certificate examinations.
